John Jeffrey Byer, or just Jeff as he is known professionally, is the founder and CEO of Jeff Byer Inc., a full-service digital marketing firm. Jeff has spent more than 20 years honing his knowledge of all things media tech and marketing. His former podcast, Digital Rage, was a beacon of knowledge of the inner workings of social media, SEO and the Internet as a whole. Since its final episode in 2019, Jeff has appeared on Compiler and Shoponomics podcasts for his expertise in e-commerce, digital marketing and developing tech for the industry. He has also been profiled in Voyage LA, and has notable mentions on business.com and in Welp Magazine.

After graduating with his bachelors from the Annenberg School of Communication at the University of Southern California, Jeff originated Globaldog Digital Communications. Based in Studio City, California, Globaldog primarily designed websites in the retail space. His greatest success came from a site called Hello My Baby, a social media-esque forum which was later sold to an interactive health agency. 

ARAMARK Uniform Services was Jeff’s first foray into the corporate world as a database administrator. Jeff assisted the development of cutting edge intranet, improving internal communications for businesses such as Sears, Pepsi, Midas, Waste Management, and Boston market. 

An industry shift took Jeff into the entertainment space, where he began overseeing quality assurance for Columbia Tri-Star. Jeff later evolved to website production, constructing television and film websites for programs such as Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and Party of Five, and films like Big Daddy, Godzilla, and Men in Black. 

Jeff then moved on to Sony Pictures Digital Entertainment, developing audio and video pieces for feature films like Spider-Man and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. During his time at Sony, Jeff pioneered the Screenblast Movie Studio and Screenblast Music Studio softwares, which allowed consumers to create studio quality movies and music from their own homes. Jeff was integrally involved in the production of both programs from their inception to point of sale, supervising everything from packaging to product photos. 

After the success of the Screenblast software, Jeff joined Dedicated Net Access as Manager of Production. There Jeff developed digital media for the studio’s top brands, namely Anheuser-Busch, Nissan, McDonald’s, NASA and Warner Brothers, to name a few. Jeff's success with managing the parent companies often brought the subsidiaries to the studio, which he would then unify and also maintain. 

Looking to return to his roots, Jeff joined Dice Media as a partner. Using his expertise in creating digital media for large brands, Jeff was able to better cater to the needs of the smaller businesses that Dice Media serviced as clients. In streamlining media strategies from massive corporations to small businesses, Jeff’s clients thrived and continue to succeed using Dice Media’s original platforms to this day.

In 2004, Jeff and his business partner opened Print Fellas, an online marketing business that focused on high-quality print marketing services. Jeff initiated the project management and e-commerce system which still performs well today. After a decade of success Jeff and his business partner split, and Jeff became the sole CEO of Print Fellas. 

Jeff is a Franklin-Covey certified Project Manager with qualifications in Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML, PHP, JavaScrip, MySQL, SEO, Bing Ads and Google Ads. In addition, Jeff is a co-author of 5 US Patents for internet content management systems.
